Jackson at six weeks old

He's virtually walking...

Okay so maybe he's not walking just yet, but he sure is trying. Cole is bound and determine to have Jackson walking in a few weeks... oh the ambitious Dad in him ;-) I think Jackson is most content when he's trying to stand on his own (while A LOT of help from Mom and Dad of course). His eyes grow so large and it's very evident that he is concentrating as hard as possible.

Big Brother Harley

Harley has been so great with Jackson. He loves to be near him (except when he's crying) and is very aware of where Jackson is at all times. They're adorable together!

Bonding with Daddy

It's amazing how Jackson is turning into a little person now. He is trying to crawl constantly and is making eye contact with us when we speak to him. He's so alert. Beginning last week he smiles at us now. He loves it when we touch his nose or cheeks; he seems to find that amusing. Every day gets better and better with him!

I've decided that there is one up side to a baby's never ending "messing" of the diaper and spitting up... you get to change their clothes about every 4 hours and therefore it's one cute outfit after another that they get to model for everyone!

Jackson meets his cousins!

This weekend Jackson had the opportunity to meet his cousins, Paislee (in picture), Zach and Taelor. The picture of Paislee and Jackson is so hilarious; they have the same expression on their faces!

Three Weeks Old and Growing Quickly!

The Little Man is three weeks and 4 days old now and just growing as quickly as he possibly can. He eats like a horse and isn't shy about asking for seconds! He is crying far less than he has been the past few weeks and is getting much better about sleeping for longer intervals during the evening. He's just as healthy as can be!

The Little Man's first Easter. He wasn't too thrilled about having his picture taken but he was a pretty good sport. He made his first trip to North Coast in Wayzata... it was his first trip of many I'm sure.

Jackson's First Doctor Appointment

With Mom's help, I took Jackson to his first Doctor's Appointment today. The Doctor said that he is in great health. He's gained 10 oz in five days and impressed the Doctor with this! Most signs of his jaundice are gone and the Doctor was not concerned with that causing any problems for the little fella. We were just so excied to hear about his wonderful weight gain!

Introducing... Jackson Cole Vendel!

He has arrived!! :) Jackson was born on Monday, March 26th at 5:49 am. He was 7 lbs 10 oz and 20.5 inches long. We are so thrilled that he has finally arrived!

Does Hubby "nest" too?

I've found that the answer to this question is a "YES!" Cole went to Home Depot this weekend and rented an industrial strength carpet cleaner and proceeded to clean the carpets on all three levels of our home. He truly took carpet cleaning to the next level. I believe he spent four hours alone ensuring that the lower level carpets were as pristine as the day we moved in. Personally, I think they look better now than they did when we moved in! ;-) Cole is available for hire if anyone needs their carpets steam cleaned.

Today I packed our diaper bag and sterilized all of the bottles, pacifiers and pump apparatus. Good times. We are definitely ready for his arrival!

My next doctor's appointment is Thursday, the 22nd. We're crossing our fingers that I've either delivered by that point or that I've made significant progress. Fingers crossed!
